What is Saaf?
Saaf are skincare products which are effective, safe and gentle on your skin. Their formulations are
free from common allergens and irritants. All their products are 100%
free of alcohol; and with organic oils that have been
chosen for their therapeutic contribution to the formulations, you will
be satisfied.

Organic Certified
Soil Association has the
highest and strictest organic
standards in the world, and, in keeping with the Saaf ethos of
striving for the very best, Saaf has worked with the Soil Association to
ensure our ingredients are grown according to the organic principles of
agriculture & production and avoid the use of synthetic chemicals like
pesticides, fertilizers and preservatives. Soil Association has also
carried out exhaustive checks and audits on Saaf formulations,
packaging and manufacturing facility.
Halal Certified
In Saaf’s quest for ultimate purity, the Saaf range is also certified
by the UK Halal Food and Cosmetics Consultanc. This guarantees
that Saaf products do not contain any animal derived ingredients;
are free from genetically modified organisms (GMOs),
irradiated raw materials and no alcohol is used either as a raw material
or during the manufacturing process. The Saaf manufacturing unit uses
non-alcoholic sanitizer and Saaf always obtains signed certificates from
its suppliers, stating that its raw materials are Halal.
Alcohol Free
Saaf has gone to great lengths to obtain official declarations from suppliers to ensure that all of our raw materials are guaranteed alcohol free. For many, that might be good enough, but Saaf goes even further, ensuring also that no aliphatic alcoholic cleaners or hand sanitizers are used during the manufacturing process. Saaf also takes the utmost care and precaution in sourcing the necessary raw material, making sure that Saaf essential oils are steam distilled rather than extracted chemically, to ensure that no alcohol is used at any stage of production.
GMO Free
All of our raw materials are 100% guaranteed free from Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO).
Vegetarian Society Certified
All Saaf products are 100% guaranteed free from animal derived raw materials and certified as 100% Vegetarian by the Vegetarian Society.
BUAV Approved
The BUAV campaigns peacefully for a world where nobody wants or
believes we need to experiment on animals. They also run The Humane
Cosmetics Standard (HCS), symbolised by the Leaping Bunny logo. The HCS
is the only global scheme for cruelty free cosmetics,
currently approving over 300 companies worldwide. Approved companies
make a formal commitment to:

Registered by the Vegan Society ¹
Saaf products have gone through the rigorous checks carried out by the Vegan Society to guarantee the authenticity of its claims. With the exception of those which contain Beeswax, all of Saaf products are registered with the Vegan Society.
¹ This does not apply to the Organic Pure Face Cleanser or the Organic Hydrating Face and Lip Balm products because they contain a small quantity of Bees Wax in their ingredients.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long will it take before I see an improvement in my skin?
Skin tends to regenerate naturally in 4-6 weeks and that is about the time it takes to notice improvements in your skin texture and tone. For best results, use Saaf products regularly and avoid using any other synthetic/harsh products at the same time.
I'm pregnant, should I be worried about using essential oils?
All our skincare products are safe to use during pregnancy, since we use the finest quality essential oils and very little of it. For pregnancy we would recommend using Eraser Body Oil for stretch marks and as a general body moisturizer.
How do I store Saaf skincare products?
Our products are made with natural ingredients and finest quality cold pressed organic oils. For best results, store them at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and heat.
What is the shelf life of Saaf products?
All of our products have a shelf life of three years if unopened. As with all skincare, when opened and used correctly (assuming lids are replaced properly) the shelf life is six months.
Do you use perfumes in your products?
Saaf only uses natural essential oils as 'perfume'. Our products are lightly fragranced with steam-distilled essential oils, chosen for their therapeutic effect, and not just for their aromas. Saaf follow the recommendations based on the findings in R. Tisserand and T. Balacs, Essential Oil Safety, A Guide for Health Care Professionals, 1995, and by the Research Institute of Fragrance Materials.
Why are 'cold pressed' oils better?
Cold pressed means that heat was not used when mechanically processing the oil. Cold pressing not only preserves the natural anti-oxidant properties of the oil, but ensures that it does not spoil and become rancid, which will have a negative effect on its skin healing properties.
