Where does Devils' Claw originate from ?
Devil's Claw (Harpagophytum) is a plant native to South Africa. The
name having come from the odd appearance of sharp, wood like hooks,
which are on the fruit of the plant.
The plant's large tuberous roots are the part that is used for it's
medicinal properties. The tubers take four years to mature, after having
been grown from seed.
Native to Africa and having been used by numerous tribes for thousands
of years, it was brought to Europe in the early 1900's.
It is now a protected plant and it's illegal to harvest, or dig up,
without a permit from the relevant conservation departments.
Recommended Dosage
1-3 tablets per day with food.

Devils Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) Root Extract
equivalent to dried root 1000mg
standardised to provide 6785µg Harpagosides.
CAUTION:
Not recommended for use during pregnancy or when breast feeding.
Not to be used by people with gastric and duodenal ulcers because of its
effect in stimulating the digestive processes.
